Know The Importance Of Laundry

Laundry is one of those tasks that we all dread doing, but it is so important. Not only does it get your clothes clean and smelling fresh, it can also make your home smell better. It is also a great way to use up any detergent or fabric softener that you might have left over from the last time you did laundry for yourself or for someone else’s house.

The importance of laundry

1. Your clothes are clean, fresh and smelling nice

This was probably the number one reason that people have to do laundry. It is a lot easier to be comfortable in your clothes if they are clean and fresh. By doing your laundry you are able to keep yourself clean and fresh, and in turn be more comfortable while you are cleaning your home.

2. You can use fabric softener from the last time you did laundry

If you use fabric softener it can make all of your clothes smell good, but if you forget to take some out for your own wash you may not have enough left for more than one cycle of washing. Take the rest of the fabric softener and put it in a sink or bathtub full of water. Add a little bit of oxygen based bleach to help break up any mildew, and then let your clothes soak in these wet clothes. Put enough fabric softener to completely cover your clothes, but not so much that you can’t completely immerse them.

3. Your home will smell great

There are other benefits to doing your laundry besides making you more comfortable. When you wash your clothes and then put them in the dryer, the smell of fresh clean clothes will circulate throughout your home, which is a great way to make it smell good. Doing laundry can easily clean up the smells from around your home like cigarette smoke or pets. It also makes it easier to change things around in your house without having to move all of the clutter that you have accumulated over time.

4. It can get rid of mildew

Getting rid of mildew is very important, as it can do a lot of damage to the items in your house. Clothes left in a washing machine and not hung up can develop mildew, but they are still good to use. Put them into a container and fill it with water from the last time you did laundry, because there will be some left and you don’t want to waste it. Then add some oxygen based bleach and let the clothes soak for about 15 minutes for every inch of fabric that was in contact with the water in the washing machine. Then wash them as usual.
